Larry Gene Perkins, age 69, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home near Sardis, MS. Larry is the husband of Angie Perkins.
Funeral services for Larry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00. Interment will follow the service at Cold Springs Cemetery. Rev. Irving Bishop will officiate.
Larry was born October 7, 1948 to the late Birtee and Louise Perkins. Larry was a blackjack dealer for the Grand Casino in Tunica. During his spare time he enjoyed fishing, football, wrestling, gambling. He adored his grandchildren.
The family he leaves behind include his wife, Angie Smith Perkins of Sardis; 2 daughters, Misty Luna (Aaron) of Senatobia, and Pamela Perkins of Marks; 2 sons, Richard Griffin (Michelle) of Kauffman, TX., and Jefferson Perkins of Crenshaw; 1 sister, Mary Lee Wilson of Sarah; 3 brothers, Paul Perkins of Saltillo, Darrell Perkins of Southaven, and Frank Perkins of Sardis; 15 Grandchildren and 6 Grandchildren.
