Kathleen Alice Nerdahl

Kathleen (Kathy)Alice Nerdahl, age 63, passed away at her parents home near Sardis Friday afternoon, December 29, 2017.  Kathy peacefully surrendered to her 5-month long battle with lung cancer.  The family will have a celebration of her life in the spring, the final date is yet to be determined. However, Kathy’s neighbors and friends are welcome to stop by Carol’s home this Thursday, January 4th between 2-4pm to pay their respects.  Kathy was born June 7, 1954 in Norfolk, VA. to Leonard Leroy Morton and Carol Ann Myers.  She is survived by her two children, Jessica Nerdahl Schaefer of Oconomowoc, WI; son, Jamie Nerdahl of Oconomowoc, WI; mother, Carol Ann Myers of Sardis, MS; sister, Terri Greene; two brothers, Ronnie Morton and Guy Morton; and three grandchildren.   An advocate for animal rights, Kathy will be remembered by her community for her compassionate efforts towards finding safe homes for abandoned animals.
