Judy Russell Williams

Judy Russell Williams, 70, passed away Saturday April 27, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. 

There will be graveside service held for Judy at 2:30 on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Black Jack Cemetery in Sardis. The family will receive friends at Wells Funeral Home from 12:00 noon till 2:00 prior to the graveside. Mr. Hal Johnson will officiate. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Wesley Brasher, CJ Tullos, Justin Tullos, Andrew Thornton, Chris Russell, and Blake Russell. 

Judy was born December 21, 1953, one of three children, to Billy Wilbourn Russell and the late Betty Byers Russell in Sardis, MS. Judy enjoyed taking care of her home and children. She liked being outdoors working in her yard and tending to her flowers. She was also an avid walker. Judy was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. 

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Betty; her husband, Ronald Wayne "Ronnie" Williams; one brother, Tony Lee Russell; and one grandson, Joel Blake Jones.

She is survived by three daughters, Jessica Wardlaw Montgomery of Durant, MS, Leah Williams Ballard of Batesville, MS, Julia Wardlaw Doedtman of Teutopolis, IL.; one sister, Kathy Russell Garner of Batesville, MS; her father,  Billy W. Russell of Batesville, MS.; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
