Joyce Nell Brown, age 82, passed away Sunday evening, December 31, 2023, at Diversicare in Ripley, MS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time.

Joyce was born October 14, 1941 in Barr, MS to the late Homer Dale and Gertrude Maples Barmer. She was a retired Mary Kay Cosmetic Representative and member of the First Baptist Church in Sardis, MS. Joyce adored her cat “Tosie” and helping all her Mary Kay loyal customers. She spent many hours bird watching, spending time with her grandchildren and hosting tea parties with her great-granddaughters.

Joyce will be remembered most by her husband, Wayne Brown of Sardis, MS; daughter, Wanda Ward of Senatobia, MS; two sons, Robert Harris of Horn Lake, MS, Ronnie Harris of Horn Lake, MS; step-daughter, Sherry Brown of Franklin, TN; two sisters, Maggie Mackey of Senatobia, MS, Anna Barmer of Batesville, MS; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter.
