Johnny Mac Duke, age 58, passed away at his home near Batesville on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.

Johnny was born October 18, 1961 to the late Volney Shan Duke and Virginia Beard Duke in Panola County, MS. Johnny worked hard his whole life as a truck driver and farmer. He adored spending time with his loving family and friends.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Linda Burns Duke of Batesville; step-sons who he raised as his own, Larry Keith Parker, Jr., John Thomas Parker, and Jason Lance Parker all of Batesville; sister, Cynthia "Sissy Kay" Frederick and her husband Barry "Boo Boo" Frederick of Courtland; brother, Charlie Shan Duke of Courtland; cousins, Lucy Mae Hendrix of Water Valley, and Dennis Melton of Batesville, who he considered his sister and brother; best friend and brother, Raymond Jenkins of Batesville; 4 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 4 nieces; 7 great nephews; and 1 great niece.

The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate the life of Johnny Mac Duke at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Hosanna Family Worship Center in Pope. Rev. Damon Plummer will officiate.
