JoAnn "French" Smith

Mrs. JoAnn "French" Smith,75, of Wiggins, MS, passed away Wednesday September 27, 2023. She was a loving mother and a member of Word Alive Revival Center. Mrs. JoAnn loved children and worked at the Wiggins Child Care Center for years. She is best known for her delicious candy bear suckers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Smith and her parents, John and Eva (Morrow) French. 

She is survived by her children, Beverly Snyder (Brian), Buddy Smith (Tracy); grandchildren, Steven Snyder (Dayla), Jonathan Snyder (Destiny), Jaden Snyder, Corey Anderson, Austin Smith, Adrienne Smith, Brooke McKissack, Haley McKissack, Archer Smith, and John Allen Smith; six great-grandchildren; siblings John Robert French and Marsha Cain; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:30am until 11:30am. The funeral service will be held at 11:30a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Word Alive Revival Center in Wiggins, MS under the direction of Moore Funeral Service.

A second visitation will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 1-3pm at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. A graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville.
