Janice Moore

Janice “Jan” E. Moore, age 74, passed away Thursday morning, May 10, 2018, at her home in Pope, MS. Janice was the wife of the late Willie Moore, Jr.

A memorial service will be at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.

Jan was born July 16, 1943 in Quitman County, MS to the late Las Turner and Annie Jewel Douglas Wells. She formerly worked in the meat department of Hays Big Star in West Helena, Arkansas and was of Methodist faith. In Jan’s spare time she enjoyed gardening, shopping, and fishing. She also loved spending time with her precious grandchildren.

Jan’s loving memory will be cherished by her children, Charlene Moore Taylor of Pope, MS., Laura Moore Wilder of Tallulah, LA., and Bubba Moore of Pope, MS; one sister, Bobbie Wells Grantham of Chattanooga, TN; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
