Janet Annette Ray

Janet Annette Ray, age 76, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the North Mississippi Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born on April 16, 1948, in Sardis, MS, to her loving parents Marvin Ray and Ruth Phelps Ray.

There will be a memorial service held for Janet at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2023 at Tocowa Baptist Church followed by an inurnment at Hebron Cemetery where Janet will be laid to rest.

Janet was known for her gentle and caring personality. She loved to sit and work on crossword puzzles, and watch her favorite show, Wheel of Fortune. A fond past time of Janet's was playing bingo with her family. She was member of the Tocowa Baptist Church.

She survived by her two nieces, Louise Gray and Linda Crocker of Sardis, as well as her nephew, Edward Brooks of Enid.

She is preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Ruth Ray; her sisters, Frances Brooks and Grace Cowsert; one brother Aubrey Ray; and two nieces Kathryn Wilson and Michelle Owens, as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews whom she love very much.

Janet leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. 

Memorial services for Janet are incomplete at this time and will be announced once finalized by her family.
