Janet Bullock Morgan

Janet B. Morgan, age 81, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 29, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. The interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery near Charleston, MS. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M.

Janet was born December 21, 1942 to the late Robert Earl Bullock and Pearlie M. West Bullock in Sweet Water, Al. She was one of 14 siblings. Her Bible was her most valuable possession.  Janet was always involved with her church. Whether it be Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, choir, or nursery, she was willing to lend a helping hand. Janet was a crucial part of the fundraising and endowment program with Mississippi College. She received her real estate license through Mississippi College. She was a constant volunteer with hospice patients and the UMMC Children’s Hospital. She adored her 4 grandchildren and her service dog Cody. 

Janet’s memory was most cherished by those she leaves behind,  which include her loving husband, William Thomas “Joe” Morgan of Batesville, MS; two daughters, Sherry R. Evans (Mike) of Indianapolis, IN., Connie Morgan Miller (John) of Batesville, MS.; one son, William T. (Joe) Morgan, II (Joanna) of Oxford, MS.; one sister, Carol Bullock Vance of Indianola, MS; four precious grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Evans, John Andrew Evans, Houston Rivers Morgan, and Emma Hardin Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews which she adored.
