James Edgar Dewey Lamb, age 75, passed away Tuesday morning, November 14, 2017, in Memphis, TN.Funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 19, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends beginning at 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.James was born December 1, 1941 in Lambert, MS to the late James Author and Ollie Irene Jones Lamb. Mr. Lamb honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and then in the National Guard.James' legacy will live on through his family which includes, two daughters, Lisa Irene Mitchell of Haines City, FL, Janet Aguila Winter of Haven, FL; two sons, James Edgar Dewey Lamb, II of Winter Haven, FL, James Edgar Dewey Lamb, III of Haven, FL; three sisters, Carolyn King of Waterford, MS, Alice Thompson of Hammond, LA, Mauriene Keeton of Cleveland, MS; four brothers, Tom Lamb of Mountainburg, AR, Dan Lamb of Sarah, MS, Tim Lamb of Tupelo, MS, Frank Lamb of Marion, IO; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.other than his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Lamb.
