James Marty Doubleday, Jr.

James Marty "Taz" Doubleday, Jr., age 25, passed away early Sunday morning, March 24, 2019, at the Panola Medical Center in Batesville, MS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2019, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Cold Springs Cemetery near Sardis, MS. The family will receive friends Monday evening, March 25, 2019, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Taz was born February 17, 1994 in Southaven, MS to James Marty Doubleday, Sr. and Rebecca Ruth Thompson. He was employed be Martin Brother's Scrap Metal in Sardis, MS. When Taz wasn't working, he could be found working on old cars, mud riding in the lake bottom, fishing and hunting. He was a good father that loved his wife and children. Taz always had a good time, whether it be cooking, playing baseball with his kids or even watching street outlaws.

His loving memory will cherished by his wife, Amber Shields Doubleday of Batesville, MS; daughter, Bailey Claire Doubleday of Batesville, MS; two sons, Ryan Channing Doubleday of Batesville, MS, Mason James Doubleday of Batesville, MS; father, James Marty Doubleday, Sr (Sheri) of Sarah, MS; mother, Rebecca Ruth Thompson of Bristow, OK; two sisters, Tabitha Cheyenne Doubleday of Batesville, MS, Nicole Golden (Dustin) of Batesville, MS; two brothers, Preston Hunter Doubleday (Makayla) of Bristow, OK, Jerry Westley Hicks (Samantha) of Houma, LA; two nieces Lillian Dawn Doubleday of Bristow, OK, Gabrielle Faith Jaco  of Batesville, MS; grandparents, Mary Ann Melton of Coffeville, MS, Willie Mae Ragon Bramlett of Sardis, MS and Robert Lee Thompson (Rhonda) of Bristow, OK; great-grandmother, China Pearl Thompson of Pope, MS
