Inez McCullar

Services for Ruby Inez McCullar, of Batesville, who died Monday, March 2, 2020, in Natchez, MS, will be at 3:00 pm Thursday March 5th, at First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS; with Rev Tommy Snyder officiating.

Burial will follow at Magnolia Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Wells Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at the church.

Mrs. McCullar was born November 7, 1926, in Greenville, MS, the daughter of Oliver and Dorothy Sharp.

Grandma McCullar (as known by her grandchildren) enjoyed reading, sewing, dancing, and bingo. She was a member of the Batesville Lion’s Club and earned various awards, including Lion of the Year in 2012.

Mrs. McCullar was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and her daughter, Susan Elaine; her sons Bobby Lamar and Barney Wayne; her sister Lillian Hinton, and her brother Cecil Sharp.

Survivors include her son, Billy McCullar and wife Andree’; 9 grandchildren Angela, Kimberley, Rebecca, Amanda, Maegan, Jean, Susan, Megan, and Christopher; 26 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Addington, William Turner, John Rodgers, Jerry Lightsey, Gary Blair, Boyce Crowell, Alton Holland, and Mike Martin.
