Ida Dell Williams

Ida Dell Williams, age 41, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2018 in Courtland, MS.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home.

Ida was born September 27, 1976 to Jody “JoJo” McDonald Byars and the late Roy Smith in Memphis, Tennessee. Ida was a homemaker during her lifetime and loved her children and grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, Ida loved putting a smile on anyone’s face. She would often say, “Put yo smile on!”

Those she leaves behind to cherish her precious memory include her two daughters, Callie Jo Dillard (J.R.) of Pontotoc, MS, and Jamie Lynn Copeland (T.J.) of Booneville, MS; brothers, Kenny Joe Byars, Michael Smith, Jason Lantrip, J.J. Lantrip, John Wayne Lantrip, Jerry Lantrip, Jr., Doug “Killer” Gant, and Correy Lantrip all of Batesville, MS; mother, Jody “JoJo” Byars; 3 grandchildren, Audrey Copeland, Bella Dillard, and Jerilen Dillard, along with 2 expected grandchildren.

Along with her father, Ida is preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Smith; paternal grandparents, Alberta and Cecil Smith; and her maternal grandparents, Mary Idell and J.B. McDonald; brother, Troy Smith.
