Howard E. O'Conner

Howard E. O'Conner, age 92, passed away, January 10, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. He was the widow of Blanche O'Conner.

Funeral services for Mr. Conner will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00. Interment will be held at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw.

Howard was born August 4, 1927 to the late Herman E. O'Conner and Gertie Mae Adams O'Conner in Como. He was a truck driver during his lifetime and a member of Pontotoc Church of Christ. Howard served in the MS National Guard. He enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving spent with family eating at the Casino.

Howard leaves behind three sisters, Elizabeth Margaret Sanders of Como, Erlene Clark of Alamo, TN., and Merlene Gordon of Looxahoma; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Howard was preceded in death by his daughter, Jackie O'Conner.
