Hershel Leo "Peanut" Winters, II, 58, of Courtland, MS, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday September 18, 2023 at his home. 

The family will receive friends Thursday September  21, 2023 from 5-8pm at Wells Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday September 22, 2023 at 1pm in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home.

Peanut, as he was known, was born August 8, 1965 in Memphis, TN to the late Hershel Leo Winters and Callie Elizabeth Turner Winters. Peanut loved to hunt and fish and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

in addition to his parents, Peanut was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Cutts.

He is survived by two sons, Rocky Wayne Winters, of Enid, MS, and Brandon Charles Fredrick, Jr., of Courtland, MS, his wife of 22 years, Linda Harris, five sisters, Diane Horton, Billie Ferguson, Sheila Darby, Teresa Barnes, and Mary Blankenship, one brother, Shane Winters, one granddaughter, Autumn Winters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
