Henry H. Luttrell

Dr. Henry H. Luttrell, age 74, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 5, 2018, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. There will also be a visitation Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Hixson Funeral Home in Pineville, LA from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. followed by a 2:00 P.M. graveside service at Bay Springs Cemetery in Lena, LA.

Henry was born February 1, 1944, in Alexandria, LA to the late H. Clay and Lillian Laird Luttrell. Henry honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired Chemical Engineering Professor most recently from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN. Henry was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church in Courtland, MS and enjoyed sailing and improving his farm.

Henry’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Marjorie Floyd Luttrell of Courtland, MS; daughter, Jessica Luttrell Watts and son-in-law, Alex Watts of New Orleans, LA; granddaughter, Holly Watts and grandson, Gabriel Watts.

Other than his parents, Henry was preceded in death by one brother, Artis L. Luttrell.
