Helen Hansen Bell

Helen Hansen Bell, age 85, passed away Monday morning, November 26, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS. Helen was the widow of the late James F. Bell.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope. Rev. John Howell will officiate.

Helen was born June 4, 1933 to the late Earl L. Hansen and Anna Lahr Hansen in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Before retiring, Helen was the Executive Director for Mid-State Opportunities in Charleston. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.

The loving family she leaves behind includes 2 daughters, Jennifer Bell Booth (Bobby) of Pope, and Lisa Bell Box (Phillip) of Fulton; 1 son, Stephen M. Bell (Tracy) of Madison; 1 sister, Frances Mae French of Glendale, AZ.; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by 2 brothers.
