Lana Britt Douglas

Lana Britt Douglas, age 58, passed away Wednesday morning, April 18, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS. 
 


Funeral services for Lana will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis. 

Lana was born June 2, 1959 to the late James “Bud” Britt and Dorothy “Dot” Inman Britt in Sardis, MS. Lana worked for Serta Mattress in Sales for the last 22 years. She is a member of Eureka United Methodist Church. For the past 8 years, Lana and David have enjoyed competing with their Bar-B-Que Competition Team. In her spare time, Lana enjoyed traveling, the beach, spending time with family, and eating at Café ‘Ole. She adored her precious Malti Poo, Toby.

The family she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory include her husband, David Douglas of Batesville; her children, Blake Douglas (Mindy) and Nick Douglas (Lindsey) both of Oxford; sisters, Vicki Pitcock and Jamie Johnson (Don) both of Sardis; and 8 nieces and nephews. Lana was looking forward to being a proud first time grandmother to a set of twins expected by Nick and Lindsey.

In addition to her parents, Lana was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Mock of Senatobia.
