Hazel Best

Hazel Best passed away March 3, 2019 at the Oxford Health and Rehab Facility in Oxford, MS. Hazel was the widow of Eddie Paul Best, Sr. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Best will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Rev. Dennis Cook will officiate.

Hazel was born March 9, 1949 to the late Wesley Cook and Leona Pinion Cook in Marks, MS. Hazel was a homemaker during her lifetime and was of the Baptist Faith. Hazel enjoyed gardening, working in her flower garden, puzzles and arts and crafts. 

The loving family she leaves behind include three children, Tanya Best Hill of Sardis, Rhonda Best Sanders of Batesville, and Mark Best of Tupelo; one brother, Charles Cook of Marks; six grandchildren, Alexandria Dunn of Sardis, Logan Hollingsworth of Batesville, Catlin Jones of Sardis, Tabitha Bullock of Booneville, T.J. Franklin of Batesville, and Jonathan Best of Tupelo; and six great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel is preceded in death by one son, Eddie Paul Best, Jr.
