Harry Dean Tutor, age 89, known by many as "Jack", passed away at his home near Marks, MS Friday, July 14, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Locke Station Baptist Church with interment to follow in Crowder Cemetery in Crowder, MS. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Reverend Rusty Miller and Reverend Ray Legge will be officiating the service. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Tristen Tutor, Caleb Tutor, Cole Helton, Chris Russell, Paul Steward and Mark Steward. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville, MS is in charge of arrangements.Jack was born October 2, 1927 in Crowder, MS to the late James Jefferson and Lena Mae Hitchcock Tutor. He was a member of Locke Station Baptist Church. Jack worked as a home mover and farmer for many years, but he retired as a prep operator after 38 years of service for Bunge Corporation in Marks, MS. Jack was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather to his family.He leaves a cherished legacy to his family, which includes, his wife, Elizabeth Wolf Tutor of Marks, MS; daughter, Jackie Marie Tutor Charlebois (Gene) of Bon Aqua, TN; two sons, Tommy R. Tutor (Sandra) of Batesville, MS, R. Calvin Tutor (Sherry) of Batesville, MS; five grandchildren, Bert Tutor, David Tutor, Beth Tutor Russell, Sarah Tutor, and Amanda Tutor; eight great-grandchildren, Tristen Tutor, Gini Helton, Cole Helton, Caleb Tutor, Lexi Tutor, Kadin Helton, Alisha Tutor, and Meredith Tutor.Other than Jack's parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.
