Harry was born on September 26, 1926 in McGehee, Arkansas to the late Pinkney Seamans and Zura Mae Brannon Seamans. Harry is a two-time war Veteran, honorably serving his country in the United States Army Air Corp in World War II as well as the United States Army in the Korean War. He was a true patriot.
Harry's love for aircraft began as a crop duster in McGehee, AR., where he got his pilot’s license. This led him to crop dust fields in Coffeeville, MS. where he would "buzz" a cafe where a beautiful waitress named Priscilla worked. She was the love of his life and they were married for 61 years. He eventually bought his own Cessna 172 and enjoyed teaching his son Sam to fly.
Harry attended Spartan School of Aeronautics. He began his career as a helicopter technician with PHI then moving on to Mobil Oil in Morgan City, Louisianna. After retiring and moving to North Arkansas, he loved fly fishing, skeet shooting, his coffee breakfast group, and his Shriner work taking children to their hospital visits, but the flying carpet parades were his favorite.
Harry was an avid Arkansas Razorback and New Orleans Saints fan. Football and watching Gunsmoke was also his favorite pastime. He was a deacon in the Mountain Home Baptist Church. His love for his family was unconditional.
The family he leaves behind includes his wife Priscilla Seamans of Mountain Home, AR; his children, Steve A. Seamans of Gassville, AR, Shane Seamans of Dothan, AL, Sharla S. Paulk (Robert) of Nesbit, MS, Harry Samuel Seamans (Olga) and Susan S. Rodriguez (Steve) both of Mountain Home, AR. He also leaves seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his siblings and his grandson Levi Michael Seamans.
In lieu of flowers, memorials honoring Harry can be sent to St. Thomas The Apostle Orthodox Church. P.O. Box 115, Mountain Home. AR. 72654.
