Hardin W. Williams, age 83, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.
Due to the recent spike in COVID, the family will have a private graveside service 11:00 A.M. Tuesday morning, December 1, 2020 at Antioch Cemetery near Courtland, MS.
Hardin was born January 19, 1937 in Panola County, MS to the late Ray W. and Annie Thedford Williams. He was a member a faithful member of Tocowa Baptist Church. Hardin gave twenty-seven years of service to Panola County as road manager. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed raising cattle and woodworking in his shop. Hardin could also be found operating heavy equipment throughout the Panola County area. Most of all, Hardin enjoyed many memorable trips with his wife of sixty-four years to Mt. View, AR.
Hardin’s caring and loving memory will be cherished by his wife, Ann Brister Williams of Batesville, MS; son, Michael Ray Williams (Deborah) of Batesville, MS; daughter, Pam Williams Stubblefield (Bill) of Batesville, MS; sister, Mavis Hawkins of Batesville, MS; ten grandchildren, Angie Campbell (Jeff), Wayne Williams (April), Emily Speights (Dustin), Elizabeth Ingram (Joseph), Tyler Lightsey (Kristen), Daniel Lightsey, Kathleen Stubblefield, Jonathan Figueredo, Matthew Figueredo (Laquia), Sarah Figueredo Garrison (Parker) and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Hardin was preceded in death by his sister, Robbie Ann Williams Murphree and his brother, Travis Ray Williams.
Hardin always had a special place in his heart for children, and for this, the family would like to ask that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be sent to the Batesville Jr. Auxiliary or the Panola County Food Pantry.
