Gwen McGregor

Gwen Kitchens McGregor, age 80, passed away on September 30, 2019 at the Sardis Nursing Home in Sardis, MS.

Funeral services for Gwen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 prior to the service. Interment will be held at Forrest Memorial Park. Dr. Tommy Snyder will officiate.

Gwen was born May 18, 1939 to the late J.L. Kitchens and Lavonia Jernigan Kitchens in Blue Springs, MS. She was a member of Batesville First Baptist Church. Gwen enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Explorers Bible Study. She enjoyed her Sunday school class and taught the class for years. Gwen held a special place in her heart for her furry grand dogs.

Gwen is survived by one son, Scott McGregor (Lynn) of Batesville and one sister, Ann Kitchens Floyd of Clovis, CA.

In addition to her parents, Gwen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth, who passed away earlier this year.
