Glenda F. White Tarver

Glenda F. White Tarver of Memphis TN, died on January 7, 2025, in Cleveland, MS, after a brief illness.

A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Forest Hill Cemetery – East in Memphis, TN.

Glenda was born October 15, 1927 in Calhoun County, MS to the late Columbus Marion and Gertha M. Lester White. She and her late husband, William O. Tarver, were owners of a Dental Prosthetic Business in Memphis, TN for many years. She lived in Memphis, TN all of her adult life, where she enjoyed painting pictures, ceramics and knitting.

Glenda is survived by her sister, Myra Simmons of Batesville, MS; her nephew, Marion White of Wynne, AR; as well as four other nephews and three nieces. 

She was predeceased in death by parents, Columbus Marion White and Gertha Lester White; husband, William O. Tarver; son, Danny Tarver; sisters Pearlena Brown and Evelena Herring; brothers, J. C. White and Leonard White.

She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Memphis, TN, to which memorials may be made in lieu of flowers.
