Geraldine Stockton Foster

Geraldine S. Foster, age 82 of Courtland, passed away Thursday morning, January 10, 2019 in Canton Ohio.

Funeral services for Geraldine will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery in Batesville.

Geraldine was born February 26, 1936 in Ellendale, Tennessee to the late Dovie Jones and Claude James Stockton. During her lifetime she was a homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and yatzee, reading, and watching hallmark movies. She was also an Atlanta Braves baseball fan.

Those left behind to cherish her loving memory include her husband, Kenneth O. Foster of Oakland, MS; two daughters, Susan O’Conner of Oakland, MS, and Dovie Jane Morrow of Lake Havasu City, AZ; two sisters, Eula Umberger of Canton, Ohio, and Iva Jane Snipes of Olive Branch, MS; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Gail Foster.
