Geraldine Bradley

Marcia Geraldine Partain Bradley, age 90, passed away Thursday evening, April 18, 2019 at the Panola Medical Center in Batesville, MS. She was the widow of Mr. Robert L. Bradley.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 22, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Sardis, MS. The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 5:30 – 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home and also Monday morning one hour prior to the service. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mike Dutton and Mr. P. Kevin Hughes. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Steven Bradley, Bradley McBrayer, Eddie Flores, Randle Dowdle, Sammie Dowdle and Scottie Morrow.

Geraldine was born April 4, 1929 in Sledge, MS to the late L.Q. and Cora Strickland Partain. She was a member of Goodway United Pentecostal Church and worked in the cafeteria of the Batesville Elementary and Intermediate Schools. After her time working at the schools, Geraldine worked for many at Smith Cleaner in Batesville, MS. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and loved her church and church family. Geraldine’s took great pride in her children and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Later in life, she also loved working with her flowers in her yard.

Geraldine leaves behind her loving family which includes, two daughters, Charlotte Walker (Braden) of Water Valley, MS, Robbie Lindsey (Tommy) of Water Valley, MS; one son, Norman Bradley (Teresa) of Marks, MS; one sister, Agnes Henson of Davenport, IO; eight grandchildren, Ginger Tolison (Donnie), Scottie Morrow (Buffy), Denise McBrayer (Jason), Steven Bradley (Meghan), Shannon Basinger (Andrew), Olivia Davis, Alexis Lindsey, and Madison Dowdle; three step-grandchildren, Randall Dowdle (Brandy), Sammy Dowdle (Teri), and Chelsea Tullos; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and one God-Son, John Mark Hughes.
