Georgie Bryant

Georgie F. “Sweet Momma" Bryant, passed away Wednesday morning July 17, 2024 at Briar Hill Nursing and Rehab Center in Flowood, Ms.

A memorial service will be Saturday July 20, 2024 at 1pm at the Sardis Lake Baptist Church with inurnment to follow in the Sardis Lake Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the Service. Rev. Gary Stevens will be officiating.

Georgie was born on July 26, 1936 in Sardis, Ms. to the late Charlie S. and Pattie Partee Dettor. She was a retired textile worker and a faithful member of the Sardis Lake Baptist Church. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to cook up concoctions to test on her family.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her loving memories include two daughters, Johnna Moore of Sardis, Ms, Angelina Humphreys of Water Valley, Ms, Two sons Edward Moore of Ridgeland, Ms., Jim Moore of Brandon, Ms, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Georgie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Jerry “Big Daddy” Bryant, two daughters Wanda Kay Brinson and Patricia Sears, her brother Charles Mallory Dettor, and sister Ruby Hill.
