George Peter Wilson, age 75, passed away Wednesday morning, November 6, 2018, at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS.
There be a memorial service for George on Monday, November 12, 2018 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Oxford, MS. Wells Funeral Home has charge.
George was born on June 21, 1943 in Floral Park, Queens, New York to the late Florence Erna Petersen and George Joseph Wilson. He was a retired lineman for Bellsouth. George's favorite pastime was bowling and keeping up with Nascar racing. He also honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Those left behind to cherish his loving memory include his daughter, Mary Stacy (Kevin) of Southaven; his son, Joseph Wilson of Texas; a sister, Patricia Wilson O'Neill; and 4 grandchildren, Wil Stacy, Katy Stacy, Ethan Wilson, and Sara Wilson.
Along with George's parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Michael Wilson and Mark Wilson; one sister, Florence Wilson Ryan.
