Garrett Allen

Garrett Allen, age 20, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019, near Durant, MS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening, March 4, 2019, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Garrett was born March 28, 1998 to Marlisa Kaye Oliver and Jeffrey Lee Allen in Memphis, TN. Garrett was a member of the First Faith Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, painting, and building things. He also loved camping and being outdoors. Most of all, Garrett loved going to church and spending time with his family.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his loving memory include his parents, Kaye Oliver Allen of Coffeeville, MS, and Jeffrey Lee Allen of Batesville, MS; his grandmother, Lela Ann Oliver of Yazoo City, MS; his “bonus” mother, Jennifer Martin of Batesville, MS; his honorary grandparents, Tony and Virginia Martin; numerous aunts and uncles, and cousins who were more like siblings.
