Gaeba Magness Gray, age 56, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.
The family will gather to celebrate Gaeba's life on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 P.M.
Gaeba was born January 30, 1963 in Batesville, MS to the late L. Jones Barnett and Eleanor Neely Barnett White. She was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling and spending as much time with her granddaughter, Maelee. Most in the community remember Gaeba from the Panola County Courthouse in Batesville, MS, as she served many years as a Deputy Tax Assessor and later went on to work for Northwest Community College on the Oxford Campus.
Gaeba's sweet and kind spirit will live on through her husband, Steven L. Gray of Batesville, MS; son, Jeremy B. Magness of Batesville, MS; step-daughter, Savannah L. Gray of Greenwood, MS; brother, Jason Barnett of Batesville, MS; aunt, Ruth Foster of Hernando, MS; granddaughter, Maelee Magness of Batesville, MS.
Along with her parents, Gaeba was preceded in death by her first husband, Phillip B. Magness.
