Freda Ercille Reynolds, 84, of Batesville, MS, passed away Monday March 25, 2024 at her home. 

The funeral service will be held Wednesday March 27, 2024 at 1pm in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow in Drew Cemetery.

Freda was born July 5, 1939 in Calhoun City, MS to the late Dee Sullivan and Trilby Johnson Sullivan. Freda worked as a nurse at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale for 25 years. A member of First Baptist Church Batesville, Freda was very involved with her church serving in the Women’s Mission Union (WMU), the Keenagers Club, and Senior Adult and Sanctuary Choirs. Freda loved cooking and ministering to other people through her cooking. An avid Ole Miss fan, Freda also loved music and singing, and especially loved visiting people and would talk to anyone. She will be missed dearly.

In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Reynolds and eight siblings, Leta Kemmer, Ruby Walls, Louise Smith, Herman Washington, Edna Chandler, Norman Washington, Alva Ray Washington, and James Washington.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Daniel Washington, of Drew, MS, her special friend, Beth Hightower, and a host of nieces and nephews.
