Eva Louise Stroup

Eva Louise Stroup, age 56, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at the North Mississippi Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

There will be a private burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS at a later date.

Eva was born on January 6, 1969 to the late Billy Travis Fisk and Emma Jean Ware Fisk in Quitman County, MS. 

Eva found great joy in working in her yard, especially caring and tending to her flowers. Some of her favorite family pastimes were with her family and children, such as skating and finding a good yard sale. Eva was always making others laugh. She will always be remembered as a free spirit.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herman George Stroup, Sr.; her sister, Malissa Lynn Fisk; and one brother, Travis Earl Fisk.

She is survived by her three daughters, Brittney Nicole Auger (Adam) of Leland, MS, Jennifer Costilow of Water Valley, MS, and Amanda Gail Strickland (Chris) of Lexa, AR; two sisters, Brenda Jean Fisk of Grenada, MS, and Malinda Johnson of Batesville, MS; her aunts, Esther M. Rose of Batesville, MS, Bobby Fisk Ellis of Grenada, MS, and Carolyn Hutchens of Water Valley, MS; and 7 grandchildren.
