Erma Gant Jenkins, age 82, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at her home in Sardis, MS. Erma was the wife of Mr. Jimmy C. Jenkins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jenkins will be held on Wednesday, October 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. Interment will follow the service at Forrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Wells Funeral Home.
Born July 29, 1936 in Oxford, Erma was the last of three children born to the late Clifton Allen Gant and Clarey Dell Smith Gant. Erma was a retired LPN and a member of Peach Creek Baptist Church. Erma enjoyed tending to her flowers, fishing, and cooking for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rick Gant and Joe Gant.
She is survived by her loving family which includes 3 daughters, Sandra Jenkins Harrison (Jeff) of Nesbit, Connie Jenkins Palmertree (Lael) of Sardis, and Susan Jenkins Thomas (Chuck) of Holly Springs; one son, Michael Wayne Jenkins (Sandy) of Sardis; 8 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
