Elizabeth "Sis" Poda Jones

Elizabeth Poda "Sis" Jones, age 97, passed away this afternoon, Friday, January 5, 2017 at Senatobia Health and Rehab in Senatobia, MS. Sis is the widow of Fred J. Jones. 

Funeral services will be 12 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Hot Springs, AR with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery at the church. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville, MS is in charge of the arrangements.

Sis was born August 29, 1920 in Blufton, AR to the late Thomas J. and Delanie Magness Poda. She was a retired cook for the Fountain Lake School System and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Hot Springs, AR.

Sis is survived by her son, Bill Jones (Debbie) of Sardis, MS; sister, Lillian "Sweetie" Orance of San Francisco, CA; two grandchildren, Laura Bailey Jones (Wesley) and Chris Gandy, along with six great-grandchildren.
