Edgar Lee Bowles, Jr., age 61, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.

A private family funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in the Martin Williangham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Longtown Cemetery near Crenshaw, MS. Due to the gathering regulations of the State of Mississippi, groups of ten individuals will be able to pay their respects followed by a period of cleaning and dis-infecting between each group beginning at 11:00 A.M. A live stream will be provided for those wishing to watch the funeral service.

Edgar was born September 15, 1958 in Marks, MS to the late Edgar Lee Bowles, Sr. and Margie Sigler Bowles. He loved the outdoors while hunting, fishing and working in his garden. Edgar enjoyed “tinkering on things” and visiting with his many friends. Most of all, Edgar received his most joy from his grandchildren.

His legacy will continue to live through his wife, Vicky Dover Bowles of Marks, MS; two daughters, Kimberly Lynn McNally (Allen) of Crockett, MS, Amy Michelle Bowles of Marks, MS; two sons, Edgar Anthony Bowles (April) of Corinth, MS, Trevor Bailey Bowles of Marks, MS; mother and step-father, Margie and Floyd Golden of Sledge, MS; sister, Anglia Wells (Edgar) of Batesville, MS, Jackie Bowles (Mary) of Bailey, MS; six grandchildren, Tatum Noelle Bowles, Brooklyn Leigh Bowles, Gabrielle Leanne Jennings (Jeremy) all of Corinth, MS, Mason Allen McNally, Dawson Dover McNally, Heidi Blair McNally all of Crockett, MS; one great-grandchild, Ariel La’rie Johnston.
