Doris J. Roberson, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 7, 2024, in Sardis, Mississippi. Born on September 6, 1931, in Darling, Mississippi, she lived a life filled with love, dedication, and remarkable resilience.

Doris enjoyed a fulfilling career and retired from Panola Mills, but her true passion lay in her devotion to her family. Her children were the cornerstone of her life, and she poured her heart into raising them. Doris is survived by six devoted children: Annita Roberson Box, Pam Roberson Garrett, Barry Roberson, Swayne Roberson, Derek Roberson, and Steve Roberson. Her legacy continues through her seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Family was of utmost importance to Doris, who found great pleasure in reading and meticulously working on puzzles, including word search books. She also enjoyed vegetable gardening, a testament to her nurturing spirit and her love for providing for those she held dear.

Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd Roberson, and six children: Dee Roberson Frith, Charlie Roberson, William Butch Roberson, Gordon Roberson, Herman Earl Roberson, and Quintin Roberson. She is also joined in memory with her six siblings: Alma Kelly, Fannie Mae Butler, Keith Jackson, Wayne Jackson, Beverly Elliot, and Lela Partain.

A visitation in honor of Doris will be held on December 11, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wells Funeral Home located at 340 Mississippi 35, Batesville, MS. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Doris will then be interred at Hebron Cemetery in Sardis, MS.

Doris J. Roberson will be remembered for her unwavering love and commitment to her family, her thoughtful nature, and her gentle spirit. She leaves a profound impact on the hearts of all who knew her, and her cherished memories will remain with her family and friends forever.
