Doris Ann Jolley, age 75, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Batesville, MS.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with a private family interment to follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.Ann was born January 31, 1942 in Brownsville, MS to the late Rev. Gilmer E. Jolley, Sr. and Emma Virginia Hughes Jolley. She was a retired school teacher after almost twenty-five years of teaching and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS..Ann's memory will live on through her family, which includes her brother, Gilmer E. "Gil" Jolley, Jr. of Batesville, MS; four nieces, Emma Jean Jolley Foster, Amy Rebecca Wilson, Emily Brooke Brasher all of Batesville, MS, and Lisa Marie Jolley Daniels of Cheyenne, WY; seven great nieces and nephews, Novan J. Foster, Courtney N. Foster, Nelson H. Jenkins, Wesley Wilson, Addi Rose Brasher, Charles Jolley, William Jolley, and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.The family asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the Panola Cancer Relief Fund, c/o Red Hudson, 447 John Branch Road, Batesville, MS 38606.
