Dixie Ray Bull Eaves, age 81, passed away on June 3, 2020 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley. Dixie was the widow of Clyde Eaves of Water Valley.
Funeral services for Dixie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 9:00. Interment will follow the service at First United Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Water Valley. Rev. Joseph Miller will officiate.
Dixie was born November 21, 1938, one of seven children to the late Amos Bull and Louena Clayton Bull in Stone County, MS. Dixie was a homemaker during her lifetime and a faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church in Water Valley. Dixie enjoyed reading, particularly her Bible. She had a servants heart and held a close bond with her church and church family. Dixie enjoyed listening to southern gospel and blue grass music. She loved to cook and drink coffee. Dixie was also fond of embroidering. Most of all she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Eaves; one brother, Mack Bull; one grandson, Jeremy Gill; and one granddaughter, Felicia Hope Loper.
The loving family she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory include her two daughters, Dixie Faye Knight of Wiggins, Kimberly Pauline Compton of Water Valley; four sons, Johnny Frank Loper of Show Low, AZ., Milton Ray Loper of Water Valley, Maxwell Monroe Loper of Avondale, AZ., Everette Lynn Loper of Cleveland; sisters, Kate Warren and Mary "Aunt Micky" Robbins both of Stone County, MS.; brothers, Buford Bull of Stone County, MS., John Allen Bull of Columbia, MS., and Carol Bull of Stone County, MS.; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
