Dexter M. Ellis, Sr.

Dexter M. Ellis, Sr., age 66, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service.

Dexter was born on February 19, 1952 in Batesville, MS to the late Maurice "Sonny" Ellis and Margaret Ruth Dalton Ellis. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed the outdoors, along with watching television and riding his lawn mower. Dexter was also a member of Enon Baptist Church near Batesville, MS.

Dexter is survived by his daughter, Scarlett Keeton of Crowder, MS; two sons, Dexter Ellis, Jr. of Crowder, MS and Phillip Ellis of Sarah, MS; five grandchildren, Ashley Ellis, Corbin Fowler, Lexi Fowler, Morgan Ellis and Eva Ellis; five great grandchildren.
