Dessie Mae Chrestman

Dessie Mae Redwine Chrestman, age 65, passed away at her home near Sardis on December 26, 2017.Funeral services for Dessie will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Rev. Terry Floyd will officiate. Dessie was born September 1, 1952 to the late Elbert Edward and Ludie Mae Head Redwine in Batesville, MS. Dessie was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family during her lifetime. She was a member of First Faith Baptist Church. She had many hobbies. She enjoyed playing cards and darts at the church. She liked to watch game shows and going out on the lake. Her favorite time was spent drinking coffee with Jason on the porch in the morning and doing anything with her grandchildren. Those she leaves behind to cherish her precious memory include her loving husband; Jason Chrestman, her daughters; Tresah Chrestman Harden (Michael), Kellie Chrestman Potts (Van) both of Batesville, 2 sisters; Shirley Faye Cochran and Judy Ann French of Batesville, 4 brothers; Bobby Redwine of Leland, Herman Redwine of Olive Branch Thomas Redwine and Wayne Redwine both of Batesville, 4 grandchildren; Cortney Kester, Jordan Potts, Logan Potts, and Tyler Potts. In addition to her parents, Dessie is preceded in death by 1 sister; Jessie Mae Redwine, and 4 brothers; James Redwine, Billy Redwine, Leon Redwine and Roy Lee Redwine.
