Dera C. Kirchhoff

Dera C. Kirchhoff, age 78, formerly of Batesville, passed away on April 5, 2017 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. MS. Funeral services for Mrs. Kirchhoff will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 3:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Dera was born November 13, 1938 to the late James Warner Connell and Gladys Gertrude Alcorn Connell in Sumiton, AL. Dera was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in LA. She was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed crocheting during her spare time. Survivors include her 2 sons, Kelly Morris Kirchhoff (Penny) of Larose, LA., and Dale Kirchhoff (Roberta) of Hixson, TN.; 1 daughter, Kimberly Brown of Vardaman; 1 sister, Betty Faye Thompson of Batesville; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dera is preceded in death her husband, Ernest F. Kirchhoff; 2 sisters, Ara Carlisle, Jeanette Connell; 3 brothers, Lloyd Connell, Francis Connell, and Derald Connell; daughter, Wynella Kirchhoff; son, Jay R. Krichhoff, and 4 grandchildren.
