Edward "Big Ed" Alan Russell, 47, passed away at his home in Pope on October 17, 2022.

Funeral Services for Ed will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 11:00 prior to the service. Interment will be held at Black Jack Presbyterian Cemetery. 

Ed was born June 13, 1975 in Sardis, MS to Annie Barmer Russell and the late Roger Floyd Russell, Sr. Ed worked for Wade, Inc. as a parts technician. When he was not working, Ed enjoyed the great outdoors, whether it be hunting, farming, or grilling out. He was an avid gun collector and liked spending quiet time reloading bullets.

The family he leaves behind to cherish his loving memory includes his wife, Heather Palmer Russell of Pope, daughter, Eyce Noelle Short of Pope; two sons, Drake Alan Russell, and Stephen Blaize Short both of Pope; and his mother, Annie Barmer Russell.
