Delma Tutor

Delma Tutor went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the age of 96 with his family by his side. He was born on April 16, 1923 in Bruce, MS to William Carl and Myrtie Tutor. Delma was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a tool and die maker at Poloron, a farmer and was an avid gardener. He was a born-again Christian and attended church regularly.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Myrtle Applewhite, Vernice Haire, Sybil Jones, Tressie Gregg and Curt Tutor as well as his son Jackie Tutor. Delma is survived by his children Roger (Joan) Tutor, Jerry (Fran) Tutor, Michael (Linda) Tutor, Karen (Jimmy) Allen and Ramona Joy Wheeler as well as his beloved nephew Billy (Betty) Applewhite. He was blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Delma Tutor will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until noon with funeral services immediately following, officiated by Bro. Johnson and Bro. Dutton. Interment will be at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS.
