David Lee Black

David Lee Black, age 74, passed away Wednesday night, April 28, 2021 at his home near Sardis, MS. 

A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Sardis, MS with Rev. Tim Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends at Wells Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. 

David was born on February 22, 1947 to the late Edward David Black and Lillie Mae Dover in Panola County. He was a handyman during his lifetime, and will be missed by his friends and family. 

The family he leaves behind includes his three sisters, Geraldine Black Brown of Pope, MS, Wanda Black Melton of Pope, MS, and Doris Black McMinn of Batesville, MS. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Deloris Black Gordon and Dorothy M. Jaudon.
