Cindy Jones

Cindy Jones, age 52, passed away June 8, 2020 at the Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Longtown Cemetery. A recording of the service will be uploaded to our Facebook page and this obituary at the conclusion of the service.

Cindy was born on January 15, 1968 to the late James Robert and Martha Gammill Hood in Marks, MS. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Wal-Mart in Clarksdale. When Cindy was not working, she enjoyed shopping and had a special love for animals, in which she had many. She loved to take “spur of the moment” trips with her family, whom she adored. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. They will all miss her kind and loving heart dearly.

The family she leaves behind to cherish her memory includes her husband, Keith Jones of Sardis, MS; three children, Jamie Jones and wife Jessica of Pope, MS, Heather Drewrey and husband Jacob of Oxford, MS, and Emily Megan Jones and fiancé Jackson Jarrell of Grenada, MS; one brother, Thomas Ivy Hood of Abbeville, MS; one aunt, Linda Trusty of Lambert, MS; and 2 grandchildren, Presley O’Dell Jones and Rowan Archer Drewrey.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandchild, Brantley Royce Drewrey.
