Colton Lane Murphy

March 25, 2021 — May 28, 2022

Our precious Colton Lane ran into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 28, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.

Colton Lane Murphy was born March 25, 2021 in Tupelo, Mississippi to Hannah Cobb and John Austin Murphy, joining his big brother Liam. His bright blue eyes and infectious smile will be missed by so many, but especially by his momma Hannah, his daddy John Austin and his big brother Liam.

Colton loved Toy Story the movie, but LOVED playing with his brother Liam the MOST!  He loved to cuddle and was so good at it.  With his easy going spirit and laid back personality, he was an absolute joy and blessing to have in our lives.

He is survived by his parents, John Austin and Hannah of Tupelo, MS; one brother, Liam; maternal grandparents, Clark and Lori Cobb of Senatobia, MS; paternal grandparents, Joe and Shellie Murphy of Fulton, MS; uncles, Mitch (Kristen) Cobb, Matthew Cobb, Jonathan (Nicole) Cobb, Brad Pool, and Hayden Murphy; an aunt, Bailey Murphy; honorary chosen sister, Salem Thompson; his great grandmothers, Prissie Duncan, Sandra Cobb, Von Murphy, and Roberta Bates; several cousins, and special friends at Uptown Kids Daycare

Colton is preceded in death by his great grandfathers, Benny Duncan, Royce Cobb, Bobby Murphy, and Marvin Bates.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
