Chris Douglas

Chris Douglas, age 43, passed away Monday morning, September 24, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 29, 2018, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends two hours prior to the service on Saturday. The interment service will immediately follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS.

Chris was born July 9, 1975 to Philip Merle Douglas and Nancy Durham Douglas in Memphis, TN. Chris grew up to love the game of basketball. He was a 1994 graduate of Bayou Academy in Cleveland where he became an accomplished basketball player. He went on to play basketball for Northeast and Northwest Community Colleges on full scholarship. Chris worked as a self-employed pest control technician and was of the Baptist faith.

The loving family he leaves behind include his parents, Phil Douglas and Dr. Nancy Douglas of Batesville; one son, Saxtin Merle Douglas of Hernando; sister, Beth Douglas Cabrera (Sergio) of Batesville; one brother, T.J. Douglas of Batesville; one aunt, Pam Pugh (Matt) of Arlington, TN; two nieces, Siena and Nadia; one nephew, Gio; three cousins, Brandon Johnson, Mathew and Jacob Pugh.
