Carolyn King

Carolyn King, age 74, passed away late Monday, December 31, 2018, at her home near Holly Springs, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening January 3, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Wells Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry West will officiate. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park. 

Carolyn was born July 5, 1944 to the late James Arthur Lamb and Ollie Irene Jones Lamb in Crowder. Carolyn worked as a distribution clerk for the South Reporter in Holly Springs for 33 years. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, and flower gardening. She was a devoted member of Mt. Morriah Baptist Church in Holly Springs. 

The loving family she leaves behind include her husband, John L. King of Holly Springs; daughter, Loretta Carol Luttrell of Batesville; sisters, Alice  Houston of Denham Springs, LA., and Maureen Keeton of Cleveland; brothers, Tommy Lamb of Mt. View, AR., Dan Lamb of Sarah, Frank Lamb of Marion IO., and Tim Lamb of Tupelo; 3 grandchildren, Josh Grant Luttrell, Justin Grant Luttrell, Tiffany Carol Luttrell; 4 great grandchildren, Devin Grant Luttrell, Haven Martin, Hunter Grant Luttrell, and Gavin Perky.
