Carl Jefferson Johnson

Carl "Pop" Jefferson Johnson, age 65, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 in Batesville, MS. 

A memorial service to honor Carl's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Hebron Baptist Church in Sardis, MS. Bro. Jimmy Thornhill will be officiating. 

Carl, affectionately known as "Pop", was born on February 15, 1958 in Sardis, MS to the late Charles Lenard Johnson and Angeline May Brooks Johnson. He worked as a foreman for Star Construction and was a faithful member of Hebron Baptist Church. Pop was a hard worker and loved watching the Miami Dolphins football team. He enjoyed construction work and taking cruises with his precious wife, Julie. 

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ray, and a brother, Charles Lee Johnson. 

The surviving family he leaves behind includes his wife, Julie Johnson; two sons, Carl Douglas Johnson (Amanda) and Michael Johnson (Amanda); five grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Brittany Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Emily Johnson, & Olivia Johnson; and one great grandchild, Sawyer Johnson.
