Billy Ray Shipp

Billy Ray Shipp, age 81, formerly of Dallas, TX, passed away late Tuesday evening, July 4, 2017, at Diversicare of Batesville, MS. He is the widower of Pamela Shipp.   There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Rev. Jay Anderson will officiate.Billy was born February 12, 1936 to the late Robert S. Shipp, III, and Nola Manning Shipp in Panola County. Billy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Billy was a truck driver during his life time and retired from J.B. Hunt after over 50 years of service. Those he leaves behind include 2 children Wendy Rikard, and Kenny Ray Shipp both of Enid; 1 step son, Danny Williams also of Enid; 4 sisters, Peggy Shipp Gordon and Bonnie Shipp Anderson both of Batesville, Betty Shipp Watson of Water Valley, Diana Shipp Watson of Cincinnati, OH.; 1 brother, Bobby Shipp of Batesville; 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
